The Kataeb Party’s Media Department on Wednesday denounced a defamation campaign targeting Lebanese broadcaster MTV and the newspaper Nidaa Al-Watan, along with their owner Michel Murr, expressing full solidarity with the staff of both media outlets.
In a statement, the Media Department described the attacks as a clear violation of freedom of opinion and expression, and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
“Using intimidation and accusations of treason is unacceptable in a country built on diversity and pluralism,” the statement said. “Lebanon cannot be reduced to a single viewpoint or discourse.”
