The Lebanese Kataeb Party urged judicial authorities to investigate an unsigned article published in today’s issue of Al-Akhbar newspaper, warning that it contains misleading and inaccurate information about the assassination of Minister Pierre Gemayel.

In a statement released by the party’s Media Department, Kataeb said the article gives the impression that the author possesses information about the high-profile political killing. The party called on the judiciary to question the author to determine whether he holds any information about this case. 

“The publication raises serious questions about the sources of these claims,” the statement said. “It is essential to clarify whether the newspaper has access to information beyond what the State and judiciary possess.”
