Kataeb Media Department Says Campaign Against Gemayel Transcends Politics into Incitement to Murder

The Kataeb Media Department issued the following statement:

"At a time when negotiations between Hezbollah and Israel unfolded along the borders, Hezbollah distracts its audience with a baseless campaign against its opponents including Kataeb Leader Samy Gemayel in an attempt to divert attention from what is happening surreptitiously behind the scenes.

This is not the first time that such filth and venom are directed towards MP Gemayel.

It has been an ongoing strategy, part of a policy to coerce and subjugate opponents, employing a deceitful and transparent, if not ludicrous, approach that transcends politics to incite violence. This strategy has unfortunately succeeded in the execution of several well-known opponents.

"Hezbollah" has recently launched, in a coordinated and simultaneous manner through its leaders, and its mediocre media figures, a vile campaign against MP Gemayel. This underscores that the campaign aims to go beyond mere criticism or disagreement, transforming into a policy of intimidation that could escalate towards physical elimination—an approach consistently employed by Hezbollah in dealing with its opponents.

Who is the true traitor? Is it the one who advocates for 'Lebanon first,' rejecting war, killing, and destruction? Or is it the one luring us into conflicts and dragging Lebanon into wars at his own discretion, without consent or inquiry, into endless wars spanning from Yemen, through Syria and Iraq, and jeopardizing southern Lebanon?

The traitor is the one who openly declares allegiance to a state that aggresses against its neighbors, receives funding from it, and subsists itself on its donations.

The traitor and the mercenary are those who obstruct and halt investigations into the Beirut port explosion that devastated the capital, leaving hundreds dead and wounded.

The traitor is the one who relinquished, sold, and bought within the limits of his maritime borders.

The traitor is the one who killed the Lebanese Prime Minister and his opponents, and was convicted by the highest tribunals of the International Court, which he scorned yesterday, only to acclaim it today under the pretext of South Africa.

The traitor is the who invaded Beirut and the mountains with his weapons, subjected the residents to cruelty, and killed activists, intellectuals, and politicians.

In conclusion, it appears evident that the diversion of surplus power and investment has commenced internally in tandem with external negotiations. Its primary aim seems to be the attempt to marginalize and distance those who reject and oppose.

This reinforces our determination to stand firm in our positions, which we have never wavered from and will not compromise on, regardless of the intensity of the campaigns."

You have attempted in the past and failed, and today you will fail again."
