Lebanon’s Government Is Stalling and Calling It Strategy
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was presented as an attempt to move the tripartite framework from principles to implementation. Salam called for reciprocity, a clear timetable, credible verification, Israeli withdrawal, and exclusive state control over weapons. These demands are legitimate. Kataeb Media Department Condemns Targeting of Journalists
The Kataeb Media Department issued the following statement:
This is not the first time, and likely will not be the last, that journalists become the targets of Israeli gunfire, paying the price of the truth they convey with their blood and wounds.
The truth speaks louder than the sound of any shells or artillery used in a war that spares no innocents.
The Kataeb Media Department condemns these unacceptable practices, expressing solidarity with the journalists who are risking their lives while covering the events in southern Lebanon.
They deserve all appreciation and respect for the noble mission they are carrying out.
