As Lebanon commemorates Army Day, Kataeb Party lawmakers have taken to social media to express their unwavering support for the Lebanese military, underscoring its pivotal role in maintaining the country's sovereignty and security. 

"On August 1st, we extend our full support and appreciation to the Lebanese Army, being the unifying institution and the symbol of Lebanon’s defense," Kataeb Party leader and Member of Parliament, Samy Gemayel, wrote on his “X” account.

“Our trust lies solely in you to protect the nation’s land, safeguard the borders, and repel aggressions. On this day, we honor all those who have and continue to demonstrate daily acts of faith in the nation. With you, Lebanon shall stand fast."

MP Elias Hankach also took to "X" to mark Army Day, saying "We want no army in Lebanon except the Lebanese Army."

For his part, MP Salim Sayegh emphasized the crucial role of national unity and the importance of adhering to international resolutions, underlining the need to rally behind the military to overcome Lebanon's current challenges. 

"With you, Lebanon endures. Together, we must implement international resolutions," Sayegh wrote on X.
