Karaki Directs the Activation of the Medication Search Service

General Manager of the National Social Security Fund Mohammad Karaki has issued his instructions to the Public Relations Department and the Technical Automation Team at the Fund to activate the "Medication Search" service on the Fund's interactive website (www.cnss.gov.lb) which allows the insured to access information related to their medication as follows:

- Name
- Dosage
- Price approved by the Fund (The Fund's contribution is 80% of this price)
- Type
- Manufacturer
- Registration number at the Ministry of Public Health.

"The decision comes in compliance with the digital transformation plan adopted by the General Manager of the National Social Security Fund, Mohammad Karaki, and within the framework of his efforts to develop electronic services offered to the insured, particularly in terms of benefiting from digital communication and remote contact tools, and considering that there has recently been an amendment to the list of chronic medications specified by the Ministry of Public Health to become the Fund's contribution 60 percent of the prices specified therein," according to a statement issued by the Social Security.

The statement added: "The importance of this service lies in limiting the insured's search to their specific medication and not the entire list of medications, as well as saving them the trouble of coming to the Fund's offices to obtain information related to them, especially regarding the Fund's contribution, and therefore, they become aware and knowledgeable about what they will recover from the insurance when submitting their medication bills."

Moreover, the activation of this type of service enhances the principle of transparency and the right to access information, which the General Manager of the Fund has committed to respecting and adhering to its standards.

Therefore, Karaki promised to complement this step with another similar one regarding the lists of doctors, hospitals, laboratories, and pharmacies dealing with the Fund, in addition to medical supplies and the fixed rates for operations that the Fund will launch in the coming few days, inviting the insured to keep pace with the developmental path in the Fund and to interact with it, expressing his readiness to improve and take their suggestions into account to provide better services.
