Israeli Military Says It Killed Senior Hezbollah Figure Nabil Kaouk

The Israeli army confirmed on Sunday the killing of senior Hezbollah figure Nabil Qaouk in an airstrike carried out in Beirut’s southern suburb last night.

Qaouk, who served as the commander of Hezbollah’s "preventive security unit," was also a prominent member of the group’s central council.

According to the Israeli military, Qaouk played a critical role in Hezbollah’s leadership and was deeply involved in orchestrating attacks against Israel.

"He was directly involved in advancing terror attacks against the State of Israel and its citizens, including in recent days," the army said in a statement.

Qaouk’s affiliation with Hezbollah dates back to the 1980s. Over the years, he held several key positions, including deputy head and later head of the southern Lebanon region within Hezbollah's executive council. He was also the deputy head of the executive council.
