On July 7, U.S. Special Envoy Tom Barrack traveled to Beirut three weeks after giving the Lebanese government a letter demanding immediate steps to disarm Hezbollah and other militias. An Israeli drone strike on Tuesday targeted a vehicle in southern Lebanon, killing three people, according to Lebanese health authorities.
The drone reportedly fired two missiles at a car in the town of Kfar Dajjal, located in the Nabatieh district.
The slain individuals were identified as Hajj Haytham Bakri, who works in the currency exchange business, and his sons. All three were from the nearby town of Sir al-Gharbiyeh.
