Israeli Airstrikes Target Hezbollah Tunnel and Weapons Sites in Lebanon

Israeli fighter jets conducted a series of airstrikes in Lebanon on Sunday evening, targeting a tunnel used by Hezbollah to smuggle arms, the Israeli army announced.

The tunnel, located in the Bekaa Valley, which is known as a Hezbollah stronghold, had been targeted in previous strikes. The Israeli army emphasized that its aim was to prevent the restoration and further use of the tunnel, which is reportedly located along the border between Lebanon and Syria.

In addition to the tunnel strike, the Israeli military also targeted several Hezbollah positions in other regions of Lebanon, including weapons storage and rocket launchers that the military said posed an "immediate threat" to Israel's security. The military described these sites as violating the terms of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

Lebanon's National News Agency reported on Sunday that Israeli warplanes had carried out multiple raids along the Lebanon-Syria border, one of which hit a crossing.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Israeli airstrikes on military infrastructure in Syria, including a military airport in the southern Sweida province and an ammunition depot in Daraa province, both of which are situated near the border with Jordan.
