The Israeli army conducted an airstrike in Syria on Monday, targeting a key figure within Hezbollah's financial operations.
Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the Israeli military spokesperson, confirmed the strike and indicated that the operation targeted the individual who oversees the financial arm of Hezbollah, responsible for channeling funds from Iran to the militant group.
While Hagari refrained from disclosing the name of the targeted individual, he noted that this person had only been in the role for a few weeks following the death of his predecessor.
This airstrike is part of a broader campaign by the Israeli army aimed at dismantling Hezbollah's financial network, which has seen a series of targeted strikes since Sunday evening.
