Israel to Respond with Force Against Iranian Weapon Smuggling into Lebanon, Katz Tells UK Counterpart

Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, assured his British counterpart, John Healey, that his country would take strong action to prevent Iran from smuggling weapons into Lebanon, particularly in the wake of the ongoing ceasefire in the region.

Katz, according to a statement from his office, conveyed to Healey that any violation of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon would be met with force.

"Israel will not tolerate any attempts by Iran to undermine our security or create new fronts against us," Katz said, reiterating the Israeli government's firm stance on combating Iran’s destabilizing actions in the region, which include arming Hezbollah and other militias in Lebanon.

Katz expressed gratitude for the United Kingdom's support in countering Iran's destabilizing activities, thanking Healey for the UK’s efforts to prevent Iran from exacerbating regional tensions.
