Israel Launches Airstrikes Deep within Southern Lebanon

On Tuesday, Israeli warplanes conducted two airstrikes on the border town of Mays al-Jabal and later targeted Jebshit in the south near Nabatieh, over 20 kilometers from the border. In response, Hezbollah launched a surface-to-air missile at an Israeli military aircraft.

Israeli artillery also shelled several areas, including Jabal Blat, Blida, Mhaibib, Mays al-Jabal, al-Khiam, Bestra, and al-Majidiyyi.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah targeted the Israeli Zebdine post in the occupied Shebaa farms and Israel retaliated by shelling the Zebdine Farm and firing heavy machinegun bursts towards the area.

Hezbollah also targeted Shomera and soldiers in Ramia and said targets were direct hits and inflicted casualties. Israeli media said one soldier was wounded in Adamit.

Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war on Oct. 7, there have been frequent clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces along the border, resulting in approximately 150 casualties on the Lebanese side, mainly Hezbollah fighters and allied groups, and at least 17 civilians. On the Israeli side, four civilians and eight soldiers have been reported killed.
