Israel, Hezbollah Continue to Engage in Tit-for-Tat Strikes

Hezbollah announced on Saturday that it had launched drones against the Tel Nof air base, located south of Tel Aviv. This marks the first time Hezbollah has claimed to attack the facility since the outbreak of hostilities with Israel last month, following a year of escalating cross-border tensions.

The Israeli army reported that approximately 15 rockets were fired from Lebanon into the Western Galilee region on Saturday, indicating that some of the rockets were intercepted, while others landed in open areas, with no immediate reports of injuries. A drone was also shot down over the Upper Galilee.

Earlier, Israeli fighter jets conducted strikes on Hezbollah targets in Beirut overnight, targeting weapon manufacturing sites, a command room linked to Hezbollah’s intelligence division, and surveillance equipment. According to the Israeli army, these assets were situated in civilian buildings in Beirut’s southern suburb, prompting the military to issue evacuation warnings prior to the airstrikes.

The Israeli military further reported that a cell of Hezbollah operatives responsible for launching a missile at an Israeli drone in southern Lebanon was killed in a drone strike shortly after their attack. Notably, the drone involved in the incident was not hit.

In related developments, Lebanese state media reported that the Israeli military detonated houses in the border village of Adaisseh on Saturday, intensifying its ground operations more than a month into the conflict with Hezbollah. The National News Agency stated that "the army of the Israeli enemy has since dawn blown up and destroyed houses" in the village.
