Hezbollah Vows Greater Attacks as Israel Opts for Targeted Strikes

Israeli army officials on Wednesday told Haaretz newspaper that there has been so far no decision to launch an extensive military war against Lebanon, revealing that Israel will instead opt for targeted killings and strikes on Hezbollah’s commanders and central posts.

Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, wrote on his X account that Israeli airstrikes had targeted a "missile platform" and "four Hezbollah infrastructures" in Yater, a town in the Bint Jbeil district, after the Lebanese group had launched rockets from there earlier during the day.

He also noted that some of the missiles fired from Lebanon have caused fires in several regions across northern Israel, pointing out that an Israeli airstrike hit a Hezbollah platform used to launch shells in Yaroun.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah supporters gathered this afternoon in the southern suburbs of Beirut to attend the funeral of Hezbollah senior commander, Taleb Abdullah, who was killed in an Israeli strike yesterday.

Speaking at the procession, the head of Hezbollah's Executive Council, Hashem Safieddine, said that "the Israeli enemy remains foolish and has not learned from past experiences if it still thinks that assassinating our leaders weakens the resistance."

“If the enemy's message is to undermine our resolve in supporting Gaza, it must know that our definitive response will be to increase our operations both in quantity and quality."

"If the enemy is crying out and groaning from what it has suffered in northern Palestine, then it should prepare itself for more weeping and wailing. Our definitive response after Abu Taleb’s assassination will be to escalate our operations with greater intensity, severity, and volume. Let the enemy await us on the battlefield."
