Hassan: We Will Pursue Hospitals That Haven't Opened Departments for Coronavirus

Caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hassan on Monday revealed he will seek the help of both Interior and Justice Ministries to pursue the hospitals that have not yet opened departments for coronavirus, warning against the increase in the number of the virus infections, namely in the winter season.

“We have tackled 6 main points, including the general mobilization and the need to close the neighborhoods of some of the major cities within the capital,” he said during a press conference.

Hassan called on the citizens to remain home quarantined in case their test came out as positive, stressing that is the ministry's duty to fulfill their needs and support their health.

“Those whose’ result is positive and has no symptoms can go back to his normal life after 10 days while taking the needed precautions,” he said.

“We have reserved Lebanon's share of the Coronavirus vaccine, and we are communicating with the Russian laboratories and the Chinese vaccine manufacturers to reserve the right of the private sector to invest,” he added.
