Kataeb lawmaker Elias Hankach on Monday visited Mar Roukoz - Dekwaneh, where a huge fire broke out, prompting Mayor Antoine Chakhtoura, Director General of the Lebanese Civil Defence Raymond Khattar and Director of operations George Bou Moussa to intervene to contain the fire.
It was also agreed that Lawmaker Elias Hankach would contribute by sending water tanks to contain the fire as soon as possible.
Contacts are also underway with the Lebanese army to try to secure helicopters to speed up the firefighting process before the fire spreads to the buildings and to avoid what happened in Beit Meri.
