Kataeb Political Bureau member and former minister Alain Hakim on Saturday condemned the recent attack on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and acts of unrest, warning that such incidents endanger the country's stability.
“The assault on UNIFIL and the unrest are entirely unacceptable. They tarnish Lebanon’s image and threaten its stability. There is no place for violence in a country striving for sovereignty and stability,” Hakim wrote on X.
Hakim stressed the urgency of establishing a second airport in Lebanon, arguing that recent security developments highlight the need for an alternative travel hub to ensure the safety of travelers and guarantee uninterrupted transportation.
