Kataeb Leader Samy Gemayel on Wednesday met with US ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea with talks featuring high on the latest developments, namely the presidential vacuum.

Gemayel warned against the continuous absence of a president, saying that any decision the parliament or the government might take cannot be executed without the signature of the president of the republic.

The Kataeb Leader also stressed the necessity of electing a president who can unify the Lebanese people, rebuild the nation, and start discussions to address crucial files, such as the country's neutrality and Hezbollah's illegal weapons.

The meeting was attended by Former Minister Alain Hakim, as well as party’s International Affairs Secretary Marwan Abdallah and the party’s Foreign Affairs Head Dr. Michel Abi Abdallah.
