The meeting provided a platform for the industrialists to voice their concerns over the sector's current state and propose measures to boost Lebanese industries. Talks focused on expanding market access for Lebanese products, supporting industrial innovation, and overcoming obstacles worsened by Lebanon's prolonged economic downturn.
The delegation, led by Nicolas Abu Faysal, included Engineer Abed Khodr, Salim Araji, Jean Estefan, Engineer Wassim Riachi, Sheikh Hussein Qadmani, Engineer Michel Sayyah, Adib Dib, Ghassan Abou Naoum, Engineer Misha Nmeir, journalist Pamela Ibrahim El Kosseifi, and Claudine Touma. Kataeb's Zahle District Head Wissam Trad accompanied the delegation.
Also attending were former Minister and MP Elie Marouni, Kataeb Deputy Secretary-General Dr. Elie Saker, and Head of the Kataeb's Economic and Social Affairs Department Dr. Naji Sfeir.
Abu Faysal presented a detailed report highlighting the numerous hurdles confronting the industrial sector, including export restrictions, limited access to financing, and deteriorating infrastructure. He stressed the urgent need for measures to support local industries and foster a more favorable environment for growth.
As a token of appreciation, Abu Faysal gifted Gemayel a copy of his book, Successes and Innovations Around the World, in both Arabic and English, thanking him for hosting the delegation and acknowledging the challenges faced by Lebanese industrialists.
Gemayel, for his part, reaffirmed the Kataeb Party's support for Lebanon's industrial sector, underscoring the importance of strengthening economic resilience through innovation and cooperation between political leaders and the business community.
The meeting also reflected Kataeb's ongoing engagement with economic stakeholders and its commitment to promoting policies aimed at reviving Lebanon's struggling industries.
