Kataeb Leader Samy Gemayel pointed out that Friday's session of the Kataeb General Congress discussed politics by evaluating the party's performance and its improvement.

“The second day of the General Congress was devoted to the management assessment of the Kataeb Party and amendments to public order. The Political Bureau approved the amendments and presented them to the Congress for voting. A number of proposals were rejected by voting, and this is evidence that the Kataeb is free and does not surrender and is not subject to the logic of leadership, but rather to the logic of institution,” Gemayel said in an interview with MTV.

“All Kataeb members are convinced that Lebanon’s main problem today is Hezbollah’s control over the country. Discussions were held on how to confront this matter and  unite the opposition,” he added.
