Lebanese Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel held a meeting at his office in Bikfaya with MPs Marwan Hamadeh and Raji Al-Saad from the Democratic Gathering bloc to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon.
The meeting, also attended by Kataeb MPs Nadim Gemayel and Elias Hankach, focused on the urgent need to address the escalating situation in the country.
The discussion centered on the critical importance of halting the ongoing conflict through all available diplomatic channels, as everyone emphasized the need for Lebanon to fully implement international resolutions, particularly United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, in order to achieve stability.
Furthermore, the lawmakers called for the immediate convening of the Lebanese Parliament to address the pressing issues facing the country, including the recent spate of attacks, mass displacement, and the dire humanitarian situation resulting from the conflict.
Following the meeting, MP Raji Al-Saad emphasized the importance of national unity during this critical time, noting that both the Kataeb and the Progressive Socialist Party agreed to maintain continuous communication to closely monitor the rapidly evolving situation.
"We discussed several topics in light of the current changes Lebanon is undergoing, but the core agreement was on the need for national unity that unites the people for the benefit of the country," Al-Saad said.
