Gemayel: Any Hezbollah Retaliation Must Be Met with Firm Army Response

Amid ongoing U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel urged Lebanese officials to put the nation’s interests first and safeguard the security of its citizens above all external pressures.

In a post on X, Gemayel stressed that Lebanon must avoid being drawn into regional conflicts stemming from the attacks.

“Lebanon’s interests must come before any alliance, and the safety of the Lebanese people takes precedence over any external calculations,” he said.

He further warned that any move by Hezbollah to drag Lebanon into a retaliatory conflict would require “a clear and firm response from the Lebanese Army.”
