Gantz Calls on Lebanon to Rein in Hezbollah or Face Consequences

Chairman of Israel's National Unity party Benny Gantz warned that Lebanon will start facing consequences if it fails to rein in Hezbollah.

“In Lebanon, there is a state and it has a government,” Gantz told European ambassadors based in Israel. “They cannot continue to play both sides without risking serious repercussions.”

“If we need to take action, we will," affirmed Gantz, the former war cabinet minister and the ex-army chief of staff.

"Lebanon has not yet felt the full impact of this conflict, but that will change soon. It is imperative that Lebanon ensures Hezbollah ceases its actions on the nothern border," he added. "Hezbollah needs to choose whether it wants to be an Iranian proxy or a Lebanese entity and face the consequences accordingly.”
