Gallant's Trip to Washington: Crucial Meetings Shaping Gaza and Lebanon Conflict Futures

Before his departure to Washington, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant emphasized that "the relationship with the United States has become more important than ever."

He indicated that meetings with senior American officials are critical for the future of the war, noting that he is discussing with them "the transition to the third phase of the military operation in Gaza."

He said, "I will discuss with American officials the situation on the northern front against Hezbollah and securing the necessary American support."

It is expected that Gallant will meet with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and some senior White House officials (although the meeting schedule has not been confirmed).

Gallant is attempting to ease rising tensions between the two countries, discuss the future of the war in Gaza, post-military operation policies, arms sales, policies towards Iran, and tensions on the northern front with Hezbollah.
