Fayad: Iraq Will Supply Lebanon with 40,000 tons of Fuel

Caretaker Energy Minister Walid Fayad announced on Friday that the agreement with Iraq would supply Lebanon with 40,000 tons of fuel.

“We need an additional 110,000 tons to produce 9 hours of electricity supply, and we seek to secure it from friendly countries, including Algeria. We got the approval to raise the tariff from Electricite du Liban, and we still need the approval of the government and the Ministry of Finance,” Fayad declared.
