Bou Abboud: Macron’s Lebanese Approach Is Different from the Left and Right Wing One

Kataeb political member Joelle Bou Abboud pointed out that French President Emmanuel Macron loss of parliamentary majority in the elections would lead to disruption and lack of governance as in his previous term.

"Disruption and lack of governance will lead Macron to forge an alliance with the opposition within the parliament in a bid to pass his previously promised laws and reforms,"Bou Abboud said in an interview with Voice of Lebanon radio station.

“Lebanese-French people were loyal to President Macron and had a major role in his success; however, Macron’s approach towards the Lebanese situation is different from that towards the far-right and left-wing groups with which he will have to deal in line with the EU frameworks,” she pointed out.

“Far-left leader Jean-Luc Melenchon won 131 seats after bringing together mainstream parties from the left into an alliance and Marine Le Pen won with more than 80 seats,” she concluded.
