Kataeb political member Joelle Bou Abboud on Sunday recalled the 15th assassination anniversary of minister Pierre Amine Gemayel, saying that the Kataeb party won’t surrender and it will resume his mission.
“Every person should carry out his electoral duties. Many attempts to suspend the 2022 parliamentary elections might happen and we do not exclude the possibility that Tayyouneh clashes might happen again,” Bou Abboud said during an interview with Voice of Lebanon radio station.
“The number of the Lebanese expatriates who have registered to vote in the upcoming elections shows that there is a new dynamism. They might be afraid of this large number so they will do whatever it takes to suspend the voting of the Lebanese diaspora,” she added.
“Accumulations has led Saudi Arabia from supporting Lebanon to deal with the issue of Information Minister George Kordahi in this way. Kordahi is just a tool in this battle and he is not willing to resign,” she concluded.
