Baroud: We Will Face a Major Dilemma If Municipal Elections Are Not Held

Former Interior Minister Lawyer Ziad Baroud considered that municipal elections constitute a constitutional obligation.

"The Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi is doing his job and should not argue with a political class that hides its intentions. The municipal elections are an undisputed constitutional duty. We will not accept the municipalities collapse, for they have replaced the state in many issues," he said.

"We will face a major dilemma if the municipal elections are not held,” he pointed out.
