American officials have warned that Lebanon’s ceasefire agreement is no longer in effect, saying a new deal is now needed along with the disarmament of Hezbollah, MTV Lebanon reported.

The officials said the United States is unlikely to intervene this time in response to Hezbollah’s actions, which they described as a breach of Lebanese state decisions.

“Israeli strikes are expected to intensify and expand, and a ground incursion is possible,” the sources said.

They noted that, for now, Beirut’s airport and port are not considered potential targets. However, they urged the Lebanese government to formally designate Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, warning that without such a classification, the line between the state and the group would remain blurred.
