Quintet committee Pressures Berri for Resolution to Lebanon's Presidential Vacuum

According to a media report, the Quintet committee for Lebanon is aiming to exert pressure on Speaker Nabih Berri to bring an end to the prolonged presidential vacancy.

The Nidaa al-Watan newspaper revealed that this effort will be manifested during a scheduled meeting at Ain el-Tineh between Berri and members of the coalition.

The report further stated that the U.S. ambassador proposed the idea of establishing a timeline for concluding the presidential election, but the coalition members opted to wait until after their discussions with the speaker on Tuesday.

Following their meeting with Berri, the Quintet plans to convene again with the National Moderation bloc and several ministers for further deliberations.
