The Kataeb Media Department issued the following statement:

-The Kataeb Media Department condemns the barbaric Israeli shelling that targeted a crew of Lebanese journalists on Lebanon-Israel border today.

-The Kataeb Media Department reminds that the direct targeting of journalists while carrying out their duty constitutes a violation of international laws and also amounts to a war crime.

- The Kataeb Media Department expresses its solidarity with the injured crew today, extending its deepest condolences to the family, friends over the passing of Reuters cameraman Issam Abdallah.

It also wishes a speedy recovery for the other injured colleagues.

-The Kataeb Media Department demands that the media be protected and kept away from bombing and killing operations, as it is not a part of the battles, but rather carries a humanitarian and human rights message guaranteed by all international laws and regulations.
