In a recent joint statement, UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Joanna Wronecka and UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander General Aroldo Lazaro expressed concern over the ongoing and relentless exchanges of fire across the Blue Line, which have persisted for six months.

They emphasized the significant impact of this conflict on both sides, with thousands of individuals deeply affected. Tragically, numerous civilians have lost their lives, while countless others have been displaced from their homes and livelihoods, leaving them uncertain about what lies ahead.
