Last week, Israeli aircraft bombed the Abu Al Duhur air base in Syria. The Israelis initially failed to admit responsibility for the attack, but to a number of observers it was very reminiscent of the attacks in April last year against the Hama and T4 air bases. Bouteflika Likely to Return Home as Government Plane Lands in Switzerland
A plane that transported ill Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika to Switzerland for treatment two weeks ago has returned to Geneva, news agencies reported.
A Reuters witness and an AFP photographer saw the Gulfstream executive jet land at the Geneva's Cointrin airport.
Bouteflika, in power since 1999, will return to a troubled country where massive protests began after he had announced plans to extend his rule in the April 18 election.
