U.S. Envoy to Visit Lebanon Amid Heightened Israel-Hezbollah Tensions

U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein is set to arrive in Lebanon on Wednesday for crucial discussions with top Lebanese officials, local media reported.

Hochstein is scheduled to meet with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati during his visit.

The U.S. envoy's visit to Beirut follows a series of high-level meetings in Tel Aviv today, where he is set to engage in de-escalating talks with Israeli officials.

The meetings come at a time when the situation along the Israel-Lebanon border is becoming increasingly volatile, raising fears of a full-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah.
