U.S. Envoy Reaffirms Support for Lebanon’s State-Building and Hezbollah Disarmament

The United States continues to back Lebanon in its efforts to rebuild state institutions, pursue peaceful relations with its neighbors, and implement the terms of its recently signed cessation of hostilities agreement, U.S. special envoy Thomas Barrack said on Thursday.

"The USA continues to support Lebanon’s endeavor to rebuild its own state, find peace with its neighbors, and continue its quest for resolution of its recently signed cessation of hostilities agreement in November of 2024, including the disarmament of Hezbollah," Barrack wrote in a post on his X account.
