Unprecedented Rise in Crimes in Lebanon

Lebanon is experiencing a significant rise in crime rates due to uncontrolled weapons and the economic and living crisis since 2019, resulting in theft, robbery, shooting, and domestic violence incidents.

There have been at least three incidents of killing women and a 6-year-old girl, Lynn Talib, was found dead, which is being investigated as a suspected sexual assault.

The government is under pressure to improve security and address the country's crises, but progress has been slow.
