The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, on Sunday issued a stark warning about the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, cautioning that the region is on the verge of a catastrophe.
"With the region on the brink of an imminent catastrophe, it cannot be overstated enough: there is NO military solution that will make either side safer," Hennis-Plasschaert wrote on her X account.
