UAE Blacklists 21 Lebanese Individuals, Companies Over Hezbollah Links

The United Arab Emirates has designated 21 Lebanese individuals and organizations as “terrorist entities,” ordering the freezing of their assets over alleged links to Hezbollah, according to the state-run Emirates News Agency (WAM).

WAM said the list includes 16 Lebanese nationals and five Lebanon-based entities, all of whom have been placed on the UAE’s domestic terrorism list due to suspected ties with the Iran-backed group Hezbollah.

“The United Arab Emirates has designated 21 individuals and entities on its Local Terrorist List over their links to Lebanon’s Hezbollah,” the agency reported.

Under the decision, all relevant financial and regulatory bodies in the UAE are required to identify any assets, accounts, or commercial relationships linked to the designated names and take immediate action in accordance with national legislation. This includes freezing assets within 24 hours, WAM added.

The move is part of a broader Emirati effort to disrupt what authorities describe as financing networks connected to terrorism and related activities, whether directly or indirectly.

In March, Abu Dhabi announced the arrest of five individuals it described as members of a “terrorist network” linked to Hezbollah and Iran, which it said aimed to threaten the country’s financial stability.

According to WAM, Cabinet Resolution No. (63) of 2026 formally added the 16 individuals and five Lebanese companies to the UAE’s domestic terror list and mandated the swift freezing of their assets.

Officials said the decision reflects the UAE’s continued focus on countering extremism and tightening oversight of suspected financial channels used to fund illicit activities, including cross-border networks.
