Disneyland Paris Reopens: All The New Rules for Guests and Booking Guarantee

From 15 July Disneyland Paris is welcoming back visitors, after closing earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A phased reopening will see Disneyland, Walt Disney Studios, Disney’s Newport Bay Club hotel and Disney Village opening first.

Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne, Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe and Disneyland Hotel will all open later in the summer.

Guests will find a number of new measures in place to comply with French government requirements, and minimise the risk of spreading the virus.

What are the new rules?

Pre-booking

The park capacity will be limited in order to comply with government requirements.

To ensure this capacity is followed, guests will be required to book tickets in advance through a new online reservation system.

Social distancing

In line with French government requirements, social distancing will be enforced throughout the resort, in ride queues, shops, hotels, restaurants and other facilities.

On park rides the boarding process will be adapted to ensure social distancing between groups or families.

Single rider and FASTPASS services will be temporarily unavailable.

In hotels, lifts will be limited to one family at a time, and Perspex screens will be installed at contact points.

Seating capacity will be reduced in restaurants, and a new take-away offer will allow guests to eat in the many available outdoor locations.

Disney is popular for its character meet and greet experiences, and while the traditional meet and greets are temporarily unavailable, characters will be seen around the parks offering photo opportunities.

Some shows and experiences will not be available, or they may be modified to adhere to health and safety requirements.

Theatres will ensure a new seating configuration to promote social distancing between guests.

Protective measures

All guests aged 11 and older will be required to wear a face mask at all times.

Hand sanitisation stations have been installed throughout the park, and guests are encouraged to use these facilities as often as possible.

Disneyland Paris has assured guests that it has increased its cleaning procedures to further protect visitors and staff from the risk of spreading coronavirus.

What are the new booking conditions?

Disneyland is currently promising flexible booking that will allow guests to cancel or change their booking without any fees.

Guests can claim a full refund up to seven days before their due arrival, excluding insurance and transport fees.

It is also possible for guests to pay a 15% deposit at the moment of booking, then pay the rest in up to five instalments until 60 days before the arrival date.
