UAE Introduces Two-Month Visa Free Period for Tourists Under 18

UAE’s Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship announced that tourists aged 18 years or below will be exempted from visa fees between July 15 and September 15 every year.

This is the first year that the fee exemption is implemented and it is expected to boost tourist numbers during the off peak season, according to the Cofounder and CTO of travel web portal Musafir. com Albert Dias.

The move is also aimed at improving the country’s standing as a leading destination in family tourism.

"However, we expect it to have a limited impact on inbound travel from key feeder markets such as India. Most parents with children in these markets prefer to travel during their local school summer holiday seasons, which usually run from April to June,” he added.
