Tenenti Denies Reports Attributed to UNIFIL: Nabatieh Is Not Targeted

UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti responded to media reports "claiming that the international force informed the Lebanese army, quoting Tel Aviv, that the entire city of Nabatieh has become a target."

"I have seen these reports and frankly, I am not aware of any specific conversation between the Lebanese army and UNIFIL regarding what was mentioned about Nabatieh," Tenenti said.

"UNIFIL forces often meet with their strategic partners in the Lebanese Armed Forces to discuss many issues related to security and safety along the Blue Line, and these discussions are confidential," he added.

Tenenti affirmed that "the UNIFIL mission is doing its best to ease tensions and prevent serious misunderstandings between the parties (the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Israeli Army), alongside continuing our daily activities along the Blue Line to ease tensions."
