Spanish prosecutors have opened an investigation over racist chants aimed at Real Madrid's Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior during a weekend match, a judicial source said Monday.

The prosecutor's office in the eastern city of Valencia where the match took place is investigating the incident as a possible "hate crime", the source told AFP.
