Solo Attacker Targeted US Embassy in Beirut: Investigation Reveals Personal Motives, Online Planning

LBCI sources confirmed that the individual responsible for the recent attack on the US Embassy in Beirut acted independently and was not part of any organized cell. 

The perpetrator reportedly financed the purchase of the weapon and ammunition using his own funds. 

Additionally, it has been revealed that he used Google to scout the US Embassy in Beirut before the attack.

"An-Nahar" sources indicated that the van driver who transported the Syrian shooter, Kais Faraj, to the US Embassy in Beirut has been detained.

It was revealed that the driver did not specifically transport Faraj, but rather Faraj was among the bus passengers.

Authorities are reviewing the driver’s phone records and continue to detain a cleric for questioning, as well as the shooter's brother and father, along with all individuals connected to the perpetrator, as part of gathering information about the incident.

The sources told "An-Nahar" that current information about the incident is based on deductions regarding the motive behind the shooter targeting the US Embassy in Beirut.
