Lebanon’s Cabinet to Meet as Ceasefire Deal Nears Announcement

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati has called for a Cabinet session to be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday to address developments surrounding a potential ceasefire agreement with Israel, local media reported.

Al-Jadeed broadcaster reported that Tourism Minister Walid Nassar has cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia to take in tomorrow's Cabinet session.

Government sources revealed that all ministers have been instructed to remain on standby until tomorrow to ensure quorum for the session and to follow up on discussions regarding the ceasefire agreement.

Sources informed LBCI that the formal announcement of the agreement will be made tomorrow from the Grand Serail, the seat of the Lebanese government.
