Significant Decline in Crimes During this Year's First Half Compared to Last Year

The Directorate General of Internal Security Forces has released a statistical table regarding crimes including murder, theft, car theft, and robbery committed during the first half of 2023, which includes the months of January, February, March, April, May, and June.

The table highlights a noticeable decline compared to the same months of the previous year, noting the arrest of 6,279 individuals during this period.

"Despite the difficult circumstances Lebanon is currently facing, its members are fully prepared to fulfill their duties in securing the protection of Lebanese citizens and residents across the Lebanese territories, in cooperation and coordination with various military and security agencies," ISF said in a statement.

The ISF urged the public to demonstrate a sense of responsibility by cooperating with them and reporting crimes to the emergency number 112, emphasizing that security is a shared responsibility.
