Body of Lebanese National Recovered on Guinea River Banks

The body of the Lebanese national, Hussein Fachikh, who went missing over the weekend in Guinea has been found on Tuesday on the banks of a river in Conkary, as confirmed by the Head of the Higher Relief Committee, Mohammad Kheir.

Kheir told the National News Agency that the Guinean authorities verified the 20-year-old man’s body.

He declared that the necessary measures will be taken so that the victim’s body is returned to Lebanon within 48 hours, extending his condolences to his family.

Fachikh was reported missing on Sunday after drowning in the river while trying to rescue two people which he successfully saved before being sucked by the strong currents to his inevitable death.
