Syrian Kurds Offer to Join Assad's Army in Exchange for Autonomy

Syrian Kurds will integrate into the Syrian regime military if President Bashar Assad agrees to grant them political autonomy, Bloomberg quoted an envoy as saying in an interview in Moscow.

Reshad Bienav suggested that the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces join the Assad’s army provided that an agreement would be reached on "a new constitution guaranteeing the rights of all peoples in Syria rather than keeping central control."

However, the envoy warned against any attempt by the Syrian regime to use force in the Kurdish-controlled northeast.

“If they attack us, we’ll fight back,” he said.
