Al Diyar newspaper pointed out that RAMCO Company informed the Council for Development and Reconstruction last month of its inability to continue executing its contract and collecting and cleaning waste in the Matn and Keserwan districts.

The Company attributed its decision to payment delay.

The newspaper added, "As soon as the company announced its decision, fears of a waste crisis return in Beirut were rekindled.”
