Lebanon’s Government Is Stalling and Calling It Strategy
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was presented as an attempt to move the tripartite framework from principles to implementation. Salam called for reciprocity, a clear timetable, credible verification, Israeli withdrawal, and exclusive state control over weapons. These demands are legitimate. Raad's Son Among 5 Hezbollah Fighters Killed in Israeli Strike in South Lebanon
The son of a senior Hezbollah lawmaker was killed Wednesday in Israeli bombardment in south Lebanon, a source close to the family told AFP.
The son of Mohammed Raad, head of Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc, "was killed with a number of other Hezbollah members" in an Israeli strike on a house in Beit Yahoun, the source said, requesting anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the media.
Media reports identified the son as Abbas Raad, who went by the nom de guerre Siraj.
Other reports said the head of Hezbollah's elite al-Radwan Force, Siraj Chehimi, was also killed in the strike.
