Prime Minister-Designate Nawaf Salam Arrives in Beirut

Prime Minister-designate, Nawaf Salam, arrived in Beirut this morning.

Later today, a meeting will be held in Baabda, bringing together President Joseph Aoun, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, and Prime Minister-designate Salam. The meeting aims to discuss the launch of parliamentary consultations at the Parliament, set to begin tomorrow, Wednesday.

With 84 nominations, Salam was designated to lead efforts toward forming a new government as Lebanon grapples with ongoing economic and political crises.

The results of Salam’s designation carried significant political implications, symbolizing a shift in internal power dynamics. They also brought a distinguished figure to the Grand Serail, known for integrity, legal expertise, and academic and diplomatic credentials at both local and international levels.

Salam is a reformist and change-oriented personality who enjoys popularity among youth and intellectual circles.
